GLTAS: An Earth Mission Chapter 2

Chapter 2

They reached Hal's City after a mile of walking from the deserted area in a desert where they had left the interceptor concealed. Aya had calculated there was a 20% chance that anyone would find the ship. Odds Hal had been quick to accept.

"So what was the mission again Aya?" Hal asked her.

"There have been recurring Robberies of high tech facilities as well as many other companies in this area. All of the Robbers eventually caught have no recollection of any of the events that have occurred. 20% of the thefts now have been done by some of Earths Heroes all of whom also have no recollection of the thefts. They are still being held in custody." Aya stated.

"Alright well, Razer you got all of that right?" Hal asked with a smile.

"I already knew all of that." Razer responded with an angry glare.

"Good." Hal said with a smile and seemed to completely ignore the glare or he was just used to it by now.  "I have a small mission to attend and you two are great at the whole investigating thing. Aya do you have the maps of the city memorized?" Hal asked.

"Affirmative." Aya responded.

"Alright good! I'll be back later! Razer don't try anything. Bye!" Hal said quickly and than ran off.

Razer and Aya were now alone in this Earth City.
"Aya, where are we going to go to?" Razer asked as he walked by her side watching her as she calculated every turn and every street they would end up on.

"We are looking into all of the areas where the robberies occurred and looking for any patterns or evidence of similarities between all of the crimes." Aya said just staring off into the distance. She hadn't look at him since they left the ship.

As they turned a corner both of their eyes darted quickly to the same spot in a dark alley where three huge burly men had cornered a small frightened women between a wall of a building and a rusting old dumpster.

Aya turned and ran to the scene quickly running to the woman's aid and after a moment was followed by Razer a few paces behind her.

Aya stepped in front of the woman and gave the men three times larger than her in height and mass the darkest glare her features could manage.

"What do you think your doing girly" one of them said the stench of alcohol heavy on his breath.

"Retreat Immediately." Aya said her eyebrow's furrow deepening.

"Or what." Another said.

"Or we shall have to use force." Razer growled from behind them.

Three to two seems easy enough Razer thought and smirked at them.

"What are you smiling at pretty boy?" The largest man said.

"You imminent Defeat." Razer said and assumed a stance ready to fight him.

The first two men lunged after Aya first. The both tried to grab her but she quickly stepped out the way causing the men to stumble and Aya planted her hands firmly in their abdomens and a small green flash was seen before the men fell unconscious to the ground.

Razer's guy went in for a punch and Razer raised his arm meaning to blast him away but forgetting his ring was in his pocket and he received a hard slug to the face causing him to stumble backwards. Blood ran in a thin line from his nose. Razer ignored it and dove under the guy in-between his legs and grabbed the man from behind wrapping his arms around his neck reducing the air to his lungs and causing him to fall unconscious as well.

"Thank you so much for saving me!" the woman cried and looked at Aya and then to Razer and quickly ran over to Razer.
"Your hurt." The woman said and took out a handkerchief and whipped the blood from Razer's face.

Aya stared for a moment than looked to the ground and then walked over and started asking questions.
"Who are you?" Aya asked her.
"My name is Vivian and who are you two?" she said giving Aya a quick glare.
"My designation is_" Aya started.
"My name is Razer and this is Aya." Razer says cutting in.
Vivian quickly shook his hand and looked straight into his eyes and Razer smiled at her.
"Well I must be going!" She says and runs off leaving both Razer and Aya confused and knowing somehow they were going to see her again soon.
